Servicemen of the Marine Corps of the Caspian Flotilla (CFL) of the Southern Military District, stationed in the Republic of Dagestan, have completed the planned work on the transfer of weapons and military equipment (AME) for the winter period of operation.

In the course of preparatory measures, the personnel carried out a set of seasonal maintenance of weapons and military equipment. The servicemen painted military equipment, changed oils and special fluids, and also checked and diagnosed the main components, assemblies, electrical and hydraulic systems.

At the initial stage of the transfer of weapons and military equipment, military personnel underwent instructor-methodological sessions on observing safety measures and fire protection during work in parks, open areas and storage facilities. Also, work on the transfer of equipment was organized in special repair centers, where the events were carried out by the personnel of the formed teams of specialists.

Depending on the type of weapons and equipment, the servicemen performed over 40 technical operations on each staff unit.

The final stage of the transfer of weapons and military equipment to the winter operating mode was the quality control of the work performed by a special commission of the CFL.

In total, the Marines served and prepared over 500 units. military and special equipment in service with the units of the marine corps of the flotilla. Carrying out routine maintenance significantly increases the service life of the equipment, contributes to the trouble-free operation of AME components and assemblies in various climatic conditions.
