During his work in the Kazan PSO since 2013, he personally made more than 250 exits to eliminate various emergencies and accidents, including such major ones as the elimination of the accident at the Kazan International Airport as a result of the crash of the Boeing-737 aircraft in 2013, the elimination the consequences of a fire and collapse in the shopping center “Admiral” in 2015, on the explosion of household gas and the collapse of a multi-storey residential building in Izhevsk.
During the liquidation of the consequences of the emergency in the shopping center “Admiral” he was directly involved in the search for victims under the rubble, their release and evacuation. Repeatedly took part in the cynological crew with a service dog in the effective searches for missing people in the natural environment and in competitions of cynological crews of various levels, where he was a prize-winner many times. S. Yakovlev is most active in the development of the search canine service, is engaged in the training of service dogs.
Svyatoslav Yakovlev has two dogs: a Doberman named Kimmy, she is 7.5 years old – she is certified to conduct search and rescue operations, but a drathaar named Gretta, who is 6.5 years old, is one of the few who manage to search for the dead. Together, they have achieved significant accomplishments and have received many awards. Their first serious victory was at the XX All-Russian cynological competitions held in 2016, where they managed to win the title of vice-champion and excel at various stages.
