In the formations and military units of the army corps of the Baltic Fleet, the transfer of weapons, military and special equipment (AME) to the winter operation mode has been completed. Routine work on military equipment was carried out both in the places of deployment of troops and in the field.

In total, more than 50 technical operations were performed on almost every piece of equipment to check the operability of units, electrical and information systems, adjust the main units, change oils, lubricants, and coolant. At the same time, more than 7 tons of engine and transmission oils and about 1.5 tons of greases were used; up to 50 technological operations were performed on each weapon and military equipment unit.

In total, the forces of the crews and drivers of cars for the new training period prepared about 2000 units of weapons and military equipment, including T-72B3M tanks, BMP-2, BIP-3 infantry fighting vehicles, Akatsia self-propelled howitzers, Grad-M multiple launch rocket systems and other military equipment.

Specialists from enterprises – manufacturers of military equipment were also involved in the work.

The crews of military vehicles and car drivers were given classes to study safety requirements and the peculiarities of the operation of military equipment in conditions of low winter temperatures, and specialized military equipment was also prepared for overcoming ice crossings.
