The competition was attended by the combined teams of the Navy, Aerospace Forces, the Central and Western military districts, the Northern Fleet and the Airborne Forces.

The competition was held in a round robin system, where all teams met with each other. Throughout the championship, passions boiled on the ice. Everything was decided on the last game day, when two teams claiming the title of champions, the combined team of the Navy under the leadership of the team captain, Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, and the combined team of the Central Military District met on the ice. In this bitter struggle, naval sailors won and became champions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

The second place was taken by the combined team of the Northern Fleet, and the team from the Central Military District won bronze medals.

The best striker according to the results of the championship was recognized as the player of the national team of the Navy, Senior Lieutenant Konstantin Bulynin.

The best defender was also recognized as the player of the national team of the Navy, captain of the 3rd rank Dmitry Shilov.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, thanked all the members of the combined team of the Navy and the Northern Fleet for their will to win and the shown result, and noted that the victory of the naval teams is the result of the massive development and popularization of hockey among the military personnel of the Navy and wished them new successes and new victories.
