The closing ceremony of the thematic junior shift was held at the International Children’s Center “Artek”. About 200 teenagers from 7 regions of the country became its participants.
Those guys who became prize winners of school Olympiads, won high awards in sports, are successful in volunteering, are engaged in creativity and science have succeeded in embarking on this exciting journey. The happy owners of the voucher were young soldiers from Moscow, Belgorod, Rostov and Sverdlovsk regions, as well as Yakutia, Crimea and Perm Territory.
“So these three weeks of the shift, which brought so many bright and exciting events, have come to an end. Every day spent at Artek was filled with joy and positiveness, gave new knowledge and skills, revealed talents. Well, the most important thing that the guys have learned is the ability to be friends, appreciate her, respect, listen to and hear a friend, be a team that can handle everything. I am sure that this shift will remain in memory for the youth army as one of the brightest adventures in life, ”said Nikita Nagorny, Olympic champion, chief of staff of the Youth Army.
From the first day, the Yunarmeys were awaited by informative lectures and master classes. In the course of initial military training, they learned how to march correctly, assemble and disassemble a Kalashnikov assault rifle, and provide first aid. Experienced mentors conducted tourist training for them, which became a kind of school for survival in extreme conditions. Finding their way around the area, setting up tents, choosing the right camp site and lighting a fire without having a lighter and matches at hand – all this and much more were mastered by young patriots after completing the program.
One of the highlights of the shift was the All-Russian final of the competition for schoolchildren “Big Break”. More than 2.5 million people joined the project in 2021. At the final stage, fifteen hundred high school students competed for the main prize. A video message to the winners and finalists of the competition was sent by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The winners of the Big Change competition, among others, were the Dagestani youth army members Baginat Akhmedova from Kizlyar and Abulfaz Babaev from Derbent. It was their projects that the jury recognized as worthy of the main prize of one million rubles.
“I am very glad that my work was highly appreciated. By participating in the competition, I put all my knowledge of public speaking and research skills into my project “Camp for All – Unity of Different”. In improving these qualities, the Youth Army played an important role, since it was here that I once met an understanding of my desire for self-realization and support in gaining knowledge. Of course, I do not intend to stop there, I will continue to develop new projects and implement them. I hope that this will help many, which for me, as a youth soldier, will be the main reward, ”Abulfaz Babayev said.
In addition, the Artekites were tested for their knowledge of great commanders and main state symbols, and also showed their skills in music competitions.
The sports component of the shift also played an important role. So, the guys competed in army hand-to-hand combat, workout and free-rope – high-speed overcoming of a distance created on trees or artificial supports made of ropes, without touching control points or the ground.
