A detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) consisting of the corvette “Gremyashchy” and submarines of project 636.3 “Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky” and “Volkhov” first arrived at the main base of the Pacific Fleet in the city of military glory Vladivostok.

The commander of the Pacific Fleet, Admiral Sergei Avakyants, during a solemn meeting at the 33rd berth of the Primorsky flotilla of heterogeneous forces, congratulated the sailors of the detachment on their arrival in their native harbor.

In addition to the command of the fleet, the personnel were met by relatives and friends, as well as representatives of manufacturers, the administration of the Primorsky Territory and Vladivostok.

The detachment completed the inter-fleet transition from the Baltic Fleet to the Pacific Fleet, which began in August of this year.

The corvette and both submarines are capable of carrying Kalibr-NK and Caliber-PL cruise missiles, respectively.

For the Pacific Fleet, the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Volkhov are the first diesel-electric submarines capable of carrying Kalibr precision cruise missiles.

The submarine “Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky” was accepted into the Pacific Fleet in November 2019, the “Volkhov” – in October 2020, and on the corvette “Thundering” Andreevsky flag was raised in December 2020.

During the inter-fleet passage, the sailors crossed the Atlantic and Indian Ocean, as well as the Baltic, North, Mediterranean, Red, Arabian, South China and Japan seas.

At their home base, the corvette “Gremyashchiy” and the submarines “Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky” and “Volkhov” will carry out replenishment of inventories and scheduled maintenance after the completion of the inter-fleet passage.
