Project “Active citizen”summed up the results of the intellectual quiz “Autumn Marathon”. The action, which took place from October 20 to November 21, was attended by 89,264 people – almost twice as many as last year.
“The Autumn Marathon took place for the third time, gathering the maximum number of participants. We are grateful to everyone for their activity and, in turn, will give the most erudite citizens an unprecedented number of prizes. For example, last year only 100 users received souvenirs, and now we will award three thousand winners on each thematic track, “said Alexander Pischelko, head of the New Management Technologies State Institution responsible for the development of the Active Citizen project.
192 questions of the “Autumn Marathon” were devoted to the changes that have taken place in the capital over the past 10 years. Together with the “Active Citizen”, the transport and construction complexes of the Moscow Government, departments culture and cultural heritage, Tourism Committee and specialists from 125 districts of the capital.
“Autumn Marathon” was held like a real track and field race. The questions were divided into three tracks, each with its own topic. Participants could choose one and go through its stages, or they could answer all of them at once.
65,564 people tried to master all three tracks at once. The most popular was the first track “Moscow was not built right away”; 84,579 people chose it. The second place is taken by the track “A new look of familiar streets” (74,508 users). And 67 334 participants of the quiz answered the questions of the track “Our city without outskirts”.
18,245 users were able to answer correctly all the questions on the first track. Of those who passed the second track, 19 612 participants never made a mistake. And on the third track “Our city without outskirts” 19,237 people showed the ideal result.
Most of the participants correctly answered the question of where the wires and overhead networks were removed from the streets as part of the “Clear Sky” program. 67 864 people knew that the wires are now underground in cable ducts. One of the most difficult was the question of the location of the largest beaver dam in the capital. The correct answer – in Novo-Peredelkino – was given only by 31,726 people.

Nine thousand people became the winners of the “Autumn Marathon”: three thousand on each track. All of them will receive 500 points and a T-shirt with the project’s logo. In addition, the first 500 best participants on each track will be presented with a Troika themed card with an exclusive design and coupons for purchasing rewards in the Transport, Events and Souvenirs sections.
10 participants of each track who gave the maximum number of correct answers in the shortest time will be called super winners. Together with the listed incentives, they will be awarded with personalized diplomas, sets of souvenirs and 1000 more points.
Another 500 lucky ones were selected at random – they will also receive the thematic cards “Troika”. All the winners of the promotion will soon receive letters with instructions on how to collect the prizes.
The Active Citizen project has existed since 2014, during which time more than five million Muscovites have joined it. They can decide which streets and courtyards need to be improved and how city institutions should work, they choose events for festivals and celebrations. The project has already held over five thousand votes – decisions supported by the majority of participants are being implemented in the city.
