“The government pays great attention to the comprehensive development of rural areas. We travel a lot to the regions, communicate with people. It is important to provide them with comfortable living conditions not only in cities, but also in villages, “- said Mikhail Mishustin, announcing the decision to allocate funds for meeting of the Government on November 26.

Of the total amount, 788 million rubles will go to subsidize the Rural Mortgage program. With its help, citizens can get a loan at a preferential rate of up to 3% per annum for the purchase of land and the construction of a house, for the purchase of an apartment in a new building, a ready-made private house, as well as for the construction of housing on an existing site. The program operates in rural areas and in cities with a population of no more than 30 thousand people.

From the opening remarks by Mikhail Mishustin at the Government meeting, November 26, 2021

In 2021, 50,000 families improved their housing conditions with the help of rural mortgages. The need for additional financing is associated with an increase in the key rate of the Bank of Russia from 4.25% to 7.25% per annum.

The government also continues to provide financial assistance to agricultural enterprises. More than 10.5 billion rubles will be spent on partial compensation of expenses for the maintenance and purchase of feed for cattle. The decision was made due to the rise in prices for such feed. It will help stabilize the situation in the industry, maintain the livestock and the level of milk and dairy products production.

The rest of the funds – 5.6 billion rubles – will be used to reimburse agricultural producers for part of the costs of creating new and modernizing existing agricultural facilities. The funds will help them to put into operation dairy farms, large fruit and vegetable storage facilities, selection and seed production centers and a number of other important facilities. All this will contribute to the development of agriculture.
