The federal center will help the Orenburg region complete the construction of a new infectious diseases hospital in 2021. The order on the allocation of 500 million rubles for this purpose was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The hospital is designed for 186 patients, but in case of an emergency the number of beds can be increased to 284. The total area of ​​the hospital will occupy more than 1.2 hectares of land in the Orenburg region.

It will be a modern medical institution equipped with the necessary equipment, including ventilators, ultrasound, computed tomography and endoscopes. It will provide assistance to patients with coronavirus and other infectious diseases.

The opening of a new infectious diseases hospital will increase the number of beds in the region and reduce the burden on other medical institutions.

“It is important that, as planned, all work is completed by the end of the year. I ask Governor Denis Vladimirovich Pasler to keep this under personal control, “- said Mikhail Mishustin at meeting of the Coordinating Council for Combating the Spread of Coronavirus Infection, which took place on November 30.

The work is carried out within the framework of the state program “Healthcare Development”.
