On December 1, Acting Head of the EMERCOM of Russia Alexander Chupriyan took part in a meeting of the Government Commission on liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Listvyazhnaya mine under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak.

In order to prevent the formation of a dangerous gas concentration in the mine, degassing and gas suction units are in operation. Work to reduce the air supply to the emergency section has been completed. In order to ensure the possibility of prompt delivery of inert gases into the shaft of the mine, drilling of three wells continues. To prevent flooding of mine workings, water is pumped out in the main drainage of the mine, monitoring and analysis of the gas situation is carried out.

As A. Chupriyan noted, all decisions on the conduct of emergency rescue operations, including the examination of mine workings by the rescue departments, are made by the operational headquarters, taking into account the current indicators of gas pollution.

The victims and relatives of the victims are provided with the necessary psychological assistance. The “hot line” of emergency psychological assistance received 654 calls.
