They were chaired by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev and the National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Moid Yusuf with the participation of representatives of the ministries and departments of both states.

Issues of bilateral cooperation between law enforcement agencies, special services and military departments were discussed in detail. Special attention is paid to the problems of information security and the fight against drug trafficking. In addition, the topic of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Pakistan was touched upon.

The sides also exchanged views on regional issues, including the situation in Afghanistan.

Summing up the results of the consultations, N. Patrushev noted the high dynamics of the development of relations between Moscow and Islamabad, the effectiveness of regular political dialogue, including at the highest and high levels, as well as interaction within international organizations, including the UN and the SCO.
