On December 2, Acting Head of EMERCOM of Russia Alexander Chupriyan and Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Alexander Vulin discussed issues of interaction between the emergency departments of the two states.

The parties considered the possibilities of developing the Russian-Serbian humanitarian center in the city of Nis, which has repeatedly proved its importance and effectiveness both in daily activities and in the course of humanitarian operations.

As A. Chupriyan noted, next year the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Center will be celebrated. On this occasion, the Russian part of the Directorate of the Center, in agreement with the Serbian side, prepared an action plan, the purpose of which is to confirm the relevance and potential of the Center, as well as to popularize its work with an emphasis on the most significant events and achievements.

The delegations reaffirmed the agreement on the organization of joint Russian – Serbian exercises with international participation in Serbia in 2022.

In addition, the discussion touched on the development of fire and rescue sports. A. Vulin said that the Republic of Serbia has joined the International Sports Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers. He asked the Russian side to provide assistance to Serbian athletes.
