A ceremony dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the formation of the military police took place today at the Central House of the Russian Army.

Deputy Colonel-General Sergei Istrakov addressed the servicemen and veterans of the military police with congratulations from the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

“The origin and subsequent formation of the military police can be considered a historically natural process, conditioned by the progressive development of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation,” said the Deputy Chief of the General Staff.

Sergey Istrakov also expressed his gratitude to the veterans “for the knowledge and experience they received while creating the law enforcement structure of the Russian army.”

In addition, the deputy head of the Russian General Staff thanked the leadership and personnel of the military police for their high professionalism and perseverance in fulfilling their military duty.

The head of the Main Directorate of the Military Police of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Sergei Kuralenko, also congratulated those present.

During the ceremony, a number of military police officers were awarded state and departmental awards.

The event ended with a festive concert with the participation of artists from the Central House of the Russian Army.
