In the branch of the Central Naval Museum named after Emperor Peter the Great “Museum of the Baltic Fleet” (Baltiysk, Kaliningrad region), a grand opening of a new exhibition “Marine Guards Crew in the History of the Russian Imperial Fleet”, dedicated to one of the elite formations of the Russian Navy, took place.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by veterans of the Navy, poet and prose writer, retired captain of the 1st rank Vladimir Murzin, rector of St. George Naval Cathedral Archimandrite Sofroniy, marines, youth soldiers from Baltiysk, as well as representatives of the Children’s Art School named after I.S. Bach.

The head of the branch Anatoly Kovalenko made a welcoming speech.

The exhibition was prepared for the Day of Military Glory of Russia by a working group led by research assistant Yulia Kiriyak.

After the inauguration of the exhibition, research assistant Yulia Kiriyak conducted a thematic tour.
