Today, on the stage of the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army (TSATRA), a large anniversary concert of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Airborne Forces took place, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the formation of the creative team.

Speaking on the stage of TSATRA, before the start of the festive concert, the Commander of the Airborne Forces, Hero of Russia, Colonel-General Andrei Serdyukov warmly and cordially congratulated the team on the significant anniversary date.

“The history of the Ensemble goes back far into the past, in the years of difficult trials that befell our state. Having become the successor of the Red Army Song and Dance Ensemble of the Kiev Military District, and later the Ensemble of the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany, the current generation of the ensemble’s artists continues the glorious traditions laid down by their predecessors during the Great Patriotic War in the post-war years, ”the commander of the troops said in his speech.

“Having become part of our friendly airborne family in 1994, the ensemble’s collective, despite all the difficulties and trials, developed and grew stronger. We remember their unforgettable performances in hot spots in the North Caucasus and the Balkans, the long-suffering Syrian land and other areas of combat and training missions. The team of the Ensemble has become recognizable in many corners of our vast Motherland and foreign countries, it has become a favorite not only of the “winged infantry”, but also of the military districts and other types and branches of the Armed Forces of our country. During its existence, the ensemble has given more than 6 thousand concerts in the country and abroad, 16 honored and 2 people’s artists of the Russian Federation have been brought up in its composition “- emphasized Colonel General Andrei Serdyukov.

Famous artists and artists also came to congratulate the heroes of the day, including People’s Artist of the USSR, Soviet and Russian composer Alexandra Pakhmutova, Honored Artist of Russia Alexander Marshal, Honored Artist of Russia Oleg Gazmanov, Honored Artist of Russia Sergei Voitenko, the Leisya Pesnya ensemble, who performed with anniversaries on the same stage.
