On behalf of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, a briefing was held for representatives of the foreign military-diplomatic corps accredited in the Russian Federation on the topic “Prospects for the development of the Russian Navy.”

The briefing was moderated by Vice-Admiral Vladimir Kasatonov, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Navy.

The event highlighted the main trends in the development of the Navy, the modern structure of the fleet and areas of interaction with the naval forces of foreign states.

Special attention was paid to the documents defining the state policy of the Russian Federation in the field of naval activities – the Maritime Doctrine of the Russian Federation and the Fundamentals of the State Policy of the Russian Federation in the field of naval activities for the period up to 2030.

Also, representatives of the armed forces of foreign states were invited to become more actively involved in the work on the conclusion with the Russian Ministry of Defense of Memorandums of Understanding and Cooperation in the naval area.

The briefing was attended by 69 representatives of the washed-out armed forces from 49 countries.
