The CSKA branch (Sevastopol) hosted the powerlifting (classic triathlon) championship of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The team of the Eastern Military District became the winner of the overall team classification for the third time.

At the championship, awards were played out among men in the weight categories up to 59 kg, 66 kg, 74 kg, 83 kg, 93 kg, 105 kg, 120 kg, 120+ kg.

Weight category up to 59 kg:

1st place – Sergeant of the contract service Savely Kirimeisky (VVO);

2nd place – Sergeant of the contract service Anatoly Shmakotin (VVO);

3rd place – Private Anton Tovstyga (Southern Military District).

Weight category up to 66 kg:

1st place – Guard corporal of the contract service Artyom Nekrasov (VVO);

2nd place – Private Kirill Salishchev (ZVO);

3rd place – private contract service Mikhail Pashchenko (VKS).

Weight category up to 74 kg:

1st place – corporal of the contract service Dmitry Drachkin (VVO);

2nd place – Captain Dmitry Tarabanov (Strategic Missile Forces);

3rd place – Sergeant Izzetov Alexey (Southern Military District).

Weight category up to 83 place – kg:

1st place – Sergeant of the contract service Andrey Mashirov (VVO);

2nd place – Senior Lieutenant Roman Chaplygin (Southern Military District);

3rd place – captain Alexander Kochetkov (ZVO).

Weight category up to 93 place – kg:

1st place – Major Anton Mashirov (ZVO);

2nd place – Senior Lieutenant Anatoly Brezvin (Southern Military District);

3rd place – Captain Oleg Bezdenezhnykh (VVO).

1st place – Senior Lieutenant Boris Mogloev (VVO);

2nd place – Senior Sergeant Dmitry Balabanov (Navy);

3rd place – Lieutenant Oleg Godilov (Southern Military District).

Weight category up to 120 kg:

1st place – Captain 3rd Rank Alexey Ushakov (Navy);

2nd place – senior warrant officer Maxim Artemov (Southern Military District);

3rd place – Captain Viktor Gorbenko (VKS).

Weight category up to 120+ kg:

1st place – senior sergeant of the contract service Vitaly Gromov (VVO);

2nd place – senior sergeant of the contract service Alexander Kirsanov (VVO);

3rd place – foreman Oleg Datsko (Southern Military District).

The team of the Eastern Military District became the winner of the men’s team classification. On the second line were the owners – the Southern Military District. The third position was taken by representatives of the Western Military District.

The first place in the team competition among women was taken by the representatives of the Southern Military District. The second place on the podium was taken by the women’s team of the Eastern Military District, and the third – by the team of the Aerospace Forces.

In the team event, representatives of the Eastern Military District also became winners, representatives of the Southern Military District were the second, and athletes of the Aerospace Forces closed the top three.

The best in the individual overall standings (the ratio of own weight to the amount raised according to the results of 3 disciplines) were: sailor Anna Ryzhkova (Southern Military District), Warrant Officer Yulia Gutorova (Navy) and Senior Warrant Officer Oksana Zhiltsova (VVO) – among women, and a sergeant in contract service Andrey Vityuk (VVO), Senior Lieutenant Roman Chaplygin (Southern Military District) and Major Anton Mashirov (ZVO) – among men.

After the end of the tournament in the sports hall of the CSKA branch, Sevastopol, the awarding ceremony of the winners and prize-winners of the championship, as well as the closing ceremony of the competition took place.

The Powerlifting Championship of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was held in Sevastopol for the fourth time. After the end of the tournament, the athletes and judges unanimously expressed their hope for a meeting on the Sevastopol land in a year at the 5th championship.
