The length of the structure is 176 meters.

A new noise barrier was installed in the Lianozovo area along the Moscow Ring Road, not far from Doronin and Pskovskaya streets. The length of the noise shield is 176 meters.

“Earlier, there was no noise protection fence on this site. Local residents have repeatedly asked to install it. Dmitrovskoe highway and the ring road are among the busiest city highways with very heavy traffic. Thanks to the new screen, the sound load on nearby houses will noticeably decrease, ”said the deputy head

Department of overhaul of the city of Moscow Anton Akulov.

Noise barriers allow you to create comfortable conditions in residential areas, even close to the highway. They protect not only from noise, but also from road dust and dirt, as well as from harmful substances.

The height of the barriers is determined based on sound impact analysis. The acoustic efficiency of the screen depends not only on its height and length, but also on parameters such as the distance to residential buildings, the terrain, and the noise level on the highway. Taking into account all these data, experts have determined that the height of the panels should be four meters.

“For the noise protection screen in the Lianozovo area, two types of galvanized steel panels were used – sound-reflecting and sound-absorbing. The solidity of such a structure is ensured by joining the elements with industrial polyurethane glue. Sound-absorbing hard mineral wool is used to increase the efficiency. This material does not cake or sag inside the panels. The metal of the outer metal plates is hot-dip galvanized, which increases their strength, ”said Anton Akulov.

Noise screens are prefabricated. Stands made of galvanized I-beams are installed on the base, to which sound-insulating panels are attached.

Before installing the noise shield in the area of Doronin and Pskovskaya streets, earthworks were carried out and more than 40 bored piles and a grillage were installed. In the spring, a lawn will be broken near the new screen.

A program to replace obsolete noise barriers was launched in Moscow in 2019. Structures that have lost their sound-absorbing properties are dismantled, and instead of them modern panels are installed that meet the requirements of GOST. They are made in a uniform style to reduce maintenance costs and simplify future repairs. In total, it is planned to replace 470 thousand square meters of old screens. By the end of the year, about 100 thousand square meters of structures will be replaced.
