Winners and awardees announced in Moscow “Cup of Heroes”for the academic year 2020/2021. They are 10 schools and colleges of the capital, the best in the field of patriotic education.
According to the results of the overall rating, the Cadet Boarding School No. 1 “The First Moscow Cadet Corps” became the winner of the challenge cup. Second place was taken by school No. 1411. School No. 1357 “On Bratislavskaya” closed the top three. The results of the competition can be found on the website of the Moscow Center “Patriot.Sport”.
“In 2021, the Heroes Cup project turns 20. Leaders in the field of patriotic education among educational organizations are selected according to several criteria. The presence of volunteer and youth army units, sports and tourist sections and associations, the number of children attending them is taken into account. Important components of the assessment are the work of the children in caring for the memorial objects under the patronage of the educational organization, the quality of the five-day training camps, and the fulfillment of the standards of the RLD complex. The “Cup of Heroes” is held by the Department of Education and Science of the city of Moscow in conjunction with the Regional Public Fund for Support of Heroes of the Soviet Union and Heroes of the Russian Federation named after General E.N. Kocheshkov and the Moscow City Council of War, Labor, Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Veterans.
Over the years of the project’s existence, its format has changed: before, members of the organizing committee collected reporting materials in person, visiting educational organizations, now this happens online. Until 2014, the best were selected among the district education departments, and since 2015, the leaders are chosen among schools and colleges.
