The medical center will be able to receive up to 550 visitors per shift.

A new multifunctional medical center “Medsi” was built in Ramenki. It is located at 56 Michurinsky Prospect, Building 1. It was built at the expense of an investor on the site of the obsolete and subject to demolition buildings of the former departmental medical unit of Glavmosstroy. The center was examined by Valentina Matvienko, Chair of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyaninand Chairman of the Board of Directors of AFK Sistema Vladimir Evtushenkov.

According to Sergei Sobyanin, the new medical center will expand the access of Muscovites to quality treatment. It will provide outpatient and inpatient care for adults and children.

“Large construction of buildings of medical institutions is underway in Moscow. Today, about a million square meters are being built and projected – these are polyclinics, hospitals, ambulance buildings. And of course, it is very important that, in addition to state investments, private investors are also actively involved, providing a new quality, a new level of medical care, offering a variety of medical services, and citizens have the right to choose where to receive these services, ”said the Moscow Mayor.

The Chairperson of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko thanked the Mayor of Moscow for creating convenient and profitable conditions for investing in the healthcare sector. She recalled that on behalf of the President of Russia, a large program of modernization of primary medical care is being carried out in the country.

“It is very important that private investors and private business are involved in its implementation. This can only be welcomed, – said Valentina Matvienko. – The investor goes where conditions are created. Without the participation of Sergei Semenovich, without the participation of the Moscow Government, of course, this would have been impossible to implement. This is all aimed at the interests of citizens, residents of Moscow. “

According to her, if private clinics are able to work under the compulsory medical insurance program, they will be available to all citizens. This is not an easy task, but it will motivate private investors to develop a network of clinics.

“A citizen should have the right to choose which clinic, which hospital, and which doctor to go to. And the expansion of the network of healthcare institutions, including through private investment, provides such an opportunity. It is important that we support both public health care and private clinics, because they perform the same important task, ”added Valentina Matvienko.

Working during the COVID-19 pandemic

The Medsi Group of Companies manages the largest network of private healthcare institutions in Russia. The total capacity of hospitals is over a thousand beds, of which more than 800 beds are in the Moscow region. More than 3.8 thousand doctors work in clinics.

More than 9.5 million patients visit Medsi clinics annually. Over 50 thousand hospitalizations and about 15 thousand operations are carried out here annually.

The Medsi network of clinics was one of the first among private medical institutions to fight the spread of COVID-19. In April 2020, an infectious diseases hospital with 500 beds, including 46 intensive care units, was deployed on the basis of a hospital in Otradnoye. All the necessary equipment was purchased here, including devices for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). More than 800 medical workers have received special training.

Medsi’s specialists have created and worked out protocols for treating patients with COVID-19, including criteria for transferring patients to intensive care and intensive care units, protocols for respiratory support, early and continued post-ovarian rehabilitation, including using the SmartMed telemedicine platform.

Since April 2020, more than 10 thousand patients with COVID-19 have been treated at the Otradnoye hospital. More than 100 thousand people received diagnostics and outpatient treatment.

“Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank the Medsi doctors who have cured about 10 thousand patients with coronavirus infection and continue to work in this system, providing invaluable assistance and support in the fight against the pandemic,” Sergei Sobyanin said.

In addition, clinical trials of the Sputnik V vaccine were carried out at the Medsi base. Since December last year, mass vaccinations with this drug have been carried out in the network’s clinics. More than 70 thousand people have already completed the full course of vaccination.

Elena Brusilova, President of the Medsi Group of Companies, thanked the Moscow Mayor for support and cooperation. “Best practice is when private healthcare partnerships with government clinics,” she said. – The team of doctors is very strong. We employ over 11 thousand people. And we will definitely justify the trust and provide the best medical care at the highest level for adults and children in Moscow. “

New healthcare facilities

Since 2011, more than 100 healthcare facilities have been built in Moscow, 65 of them funded by investors. Among the objects erected by investors are 25 hospital buildings, 31 polyclinics (of which 10 were transferred to the city health care system) and nine other facilities (laboratories, sanatoriums, and so on).
