During the planned training, the combat crews of the missile formation of the army corps of the Baltic Fleet, which is armed with the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system, worked out the destruction of important objects of the imaginary enemy.

As part of the exercise, the crews of the Iskander-M OTRK made a march to the designated area along dirt roads and rough terrain, overcoming natural obstacles, conventionally contaminated areas and maneuvering in a confined space.

In the designated area, the missilemen carried out measures to deploy complexes from the march in unprepared positions. In the field, the combat crews of the missile compound worked out questions on checking the performance of missile systems, and also carried out their reloading onto launchers using transport-loading vehicles.

Having received the coordinates, the crews of the Iskander-M missile launcher destroyed command posts and satellite communication centers of the imaginary enemy, performing training (electronic) launches of cruise missiles.

In addition, the missile men performed a set of tasks for multiple changes of starting positions, repelled an attack by a conditional sabotage and reconnaissance group and carried out camouflage of launchers from modern reconnaissance means of a potential enemy.

More than 100 servicemen and about 50 units of military and special equipment were involved in the exercise.

OTRK “Iskander-M” is capable of hitting targets with high accuracy at ranges of up to 500 km. The complex is designed to destroy the most important enemy targets.
