Doctors of the multidisciplinary mobile hospital of the Southern Military District (YuVO), deployed in Sukhum, were awarded with departmental medals, diplomas and certificates for their help in treating the residents of the republic from COVID-19.
The awards were presented to the doctors by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Abkhazia Nodar Avidzba, thanking them for the work done and noting the enormous contribution of Russian colleagues to the fight against coronavirus infection.
The solemn ceremony was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia Sergey Pustovalov, Minister of Health of the Republic of Abkhazia Anzor Goov, Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Abkhazia Vladislav Nechiporenko.
“You were by our side during the most difficult times. Many thanks to you from all the people of Abkhazia, ”the minister said.
The head of the mobile hospital of the Southern Military District, Lieutenant Colonel of the Medical Service Abdulmejid Magomedov, thanked the country’s leadership, the Ministry of Health and Defense for operational cooperation and support, as well as the management of the Aytar boarding house, on the territory of which the hospital was located, for comfortable conditions.
The specialists of the YuVO mobile multidisciplinary hospital successfully completed their mission, completed the work and are ready to leave for the permanent deployment point.
The hospital deployed in Sukhum on August 18, 2021 received more than 2 thousand residents of the Republic of Abkhazia for treatment and consultation with a new coronavirus infection.
Medical specialists of the Southern Military District conducted in shifts around the clock to receive patients and conduct medical and diagnostic measures, carried out PCR diagnostics of analyzes delivered from city laboratories.
In total, more than 10.5 thousand various laboratory diagnostic tests were carried out in the mobile laboratories of the field hospital, including over 4 thousand PCR tests and more than 1.7 thousand chest radiographs.
