The walk will take place along the oldest urban land transport route. The movement along it has been carried out since 1912.

The official tourist portal of Moscow offers to take a short trip along the Garden Ring and see the sights of the center of the capital. Discover Moscow… The route includes nine historical and modern sights of Moscow.

You can walk along it or take a ride on public transport, making stops at interesting places and objects.

During a walk, you must follow safety rules: wear masks in transport and indoors, observe social distance. When visiting concert halls, museums, galleries and estates, you will also need to present the QR code of the vaccinated or ill person.

One of the stops is recommended to be made at the Moscow International House of Music on Kosmodamianskaya embankment (building 58, building 8). This is a large philharmonic complex with four halls. It hosts concerts of opera and pop stars, performances and creative evenings. The House of Music attracts attention with its unusual form. It resembles an elegant crystal goblet. The building is crowned with a weather vane – a treble clef.

In addition, along the route you can walk or get to the Bunker-42 Museum and Historical Complex on Taganka (5th Kotelnichesky Lane, 11). It is located in an underground anti-nuclear bunker at a depth of 65 meters. It was built in the middle of the 20th century for military purposes. Now it houses a museum dedicated to the history of the Cold War, and guided tours are held there.

Another point of the route, worth a visit, will be the F.I. Chaliapin (25 Novinsky Boulevard). The history of this mansion goes back three centuries; it is one of the Moscow buildings that survived the fire of 1812. Fyodor Chaliapin settled here in 1910. And in 1988, a museum named after him was opened in the house. Visitors can see Shalyapin’s personal belongings, his stage costumes, furniture and paintings.

During the walk, you can visit the center of contemporary art “Winzavod” (4th Syromyatnichesky lane, building 1/8, building 8). In the 19th century, there was a brewery here, and in Soviet times – a wine factory. After the closure of production, the building housed one of the largest art centers in Russia. It brings together galleries, studios and workshops representing different areas of contemporary art: painting, photography, design and many others. The center hosts exhibitions, lectures and performances.
