The crew of the large anti-submarine ship (BOD) “Admiral Panteleev” of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) conducted an exercise to find and destroy a simulated enemy submarine in the Sea of Japan.

The submarine “Admiral Panteleev” in one of the naval training grounds worked out the algorithm of actions to search for a simulated enemy submarine, detected by fleet reconnaissance means.

After the discovery of the “enemy” submarine, the crew of the large anti-submarine ship began tracking the underwater object.

The ship’s combat crews worked out the algorithm of actions in preparing anti-submarine weapons in readiness for use and conditionally destroyed the underwater target with rocket depth charges and torpedoes.

The exercise was carried out in accordance with the plan of combat training of the Pacific Fleet without the actual use of naval weapons.

The ship returns to the main base of the Pacific Fleet after participating in the first ever joint naval exercise between Russia and the countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) – ARNEX-2021, which was held in the area of the island of Ve off the coast of Indonesia.
