New Year’s transport will run on the streets of the capital until the end of January.

50 electric buses and 20 trams “Vityaz-Moscow”, 11 cars of Moscow central diameters, 1460 buses, four automatic complexes “Parkon” of the Traffic Organization Center and about two thousand taxi cars decorated with festive garlands… In the metro, passengers will be transported by three New Year’s trains: “Moscow-2020”, “Ezh” and “Rusich”, as well as 60 trains with decorated head carriages.

New Year’s transport will carry Muscovites and tourists until the end of January. The tradition of decorating equipment for the New Year is also supported by the Moscow city economy complex. More than 600 municipal vehicles decorated with garlands, lighting elements and stickers with New Year’s symbols will operate on the streets of the capital.

New Year’s lights were also lit on the streets of the capital. More than four thousand light structures have appeared in the city center and other districts.

Light arches were installed on Tverskaya and other streets. Popular pedestrian zones have been decorated with light tunnels. Light consoles were installed on the lighting poles along the main streets and on bridges.

A huge New Year’s ball weighing 35 tons and 20 meters high adorned Poklonnaya Gora, and Umka returned to Prospekt Mira. New Year trees decorated with colorful balls and garlands created a special atmosphere throughout the city.

A traditional winter festival is held in Moscow until January 9 “Journey to Christmas”… Residents and guests of the capital are welcome at fairs, skating rinks and festive venues throughout the city.

Festival events are held in compliance with sanitary and epidemiological standards. Visitors are required to maintain social distance and wear masks.
