After providing medical care to patients with a confirmed diagnosis of a new coronavirus infection in the Republic of Abkhazia, the mobile multidisciplinary hospital of the Southern Military District (YuVO) has returned to Russia.

Servicemen of a mobile multidisciplinary hospital for 100 beds made a march of more than 800 km on their own in standard equipment and returned to the point of permanent deployment in the city of Budyonnovsk, Stavropol Territory.

For more than four months, the specialists of the military medical service were away from home.

At the point of permanent deployment, military doctors were solemnly greeted by the orchestra of the Southern Military District, the doctors were presented with state and departmental awards.

During their work in Abkhazia, Russian military doctors cured 649 residents of the republic. Also, about 2 thousand residents of Abkhazia received qualified medical care.

The mobile multidisciplinary hospital is a field medical unit designed, among other things, for inpatient treatment of patients with a new coronavirus infection.

To carry out medical and diagnostic measures, the hospital is equipped with artificial ventilation devices, monitors for intensive observation of patients, X-ray machines, ultrasound machines, and blood analyzers.

More than 100 military personnel worked as part of the mobile medical unit, 30 units of special military equipment were involved.
