Employees of the housing and communal service No. 2 in the Severomorsk local garrison of the Northern Fleet are carrying out a planned replacement of lamps with LED lamps according to the incoming requests. To date, 100 outdoor lighting fixtures, 490 indoor lighting fixtures at military facilities, as well as 516 fixtures and 315 lamps at boiler houses have been replaced.

LED lighting is a promising, economical and environmentally friendly direction. Previously, fluorescent or halogen light sources were used, as well as standard incandescent lamps that consume a large amount of electricity, and with the advent of new ones – LED – they have become irrelevant.

The working life of LED lamps is more than 30,000 hours. This is a tangible advantage over other varieties and savings on the purchase of new lamps. Also, the advantage of LED lamps is the absence of noise, vibration and flicker.

Energy efficiency in the military housing and utilities sector is mainly aimed at the useful (efficient) use of energy. Energy-efficient technologies are used in lighting, replacing lamps with LED lamps has become a common thing. This results in a reduction in utility costs and savings in energy resources.
