On December 17, a meeting of the Joint Commission of the JCPOA member countries ended the seventh round of Vienna talks on restoring the full implementation of the “nuclear deal”. An important progress was noted, which allows taking further work to a new stage. The delegations will hold additional consultations on the capitals.

There remain many complex political issues, solutions to which have yet to be found. However, all the participants in the negotiations confirm their determination to strive for the earliest possible fulfillment of the common task of returning the JCPOA to the initially agreed framework, without any “appendages” and exemptions.

There is a general understanding that the negotiation process will resume in Vienna in the near future. The parties expressed their readiness to make the necessary efforts so that the next eighth round ends with the achievement of a mutually acceptable agreement in a short time.
