The landing force landed on the Budikhino landing site near the city of Kostroma as part of routine combat training exercises.

In total, more than 300 servicemen of the Ivanovo Guards parachute airborne unit of the Airborne Forces were parachuted with the use of D-10 parachutes as part of the units.
