Servicemen of the combined-arms army of the Western Military District took the oath of a youth soldier from 20 schoolchildren of the Bogucharsky district on the eve of the day of the liberation of the city of Boguchar from the Nazi invaders.

The solemn ceremony was held on the territory of the Lofitsa school of the Bogucharsky district and representatives of the administration of the Bogucharsky district, veteran organizations, as well as officers of the Bogucharsky garrison attended the event as special guests.

When they joined the ranks of the Youth Army, children and youths vowed to honor and defend the memory of the heroes of the Motherland, always defend the weak and be ready to be loyal to their Fatherland. After the completion of the solemn ceremony, the youth soldiers were presented with decals and youth books.

At the end of the event, the Yunarmeys together with the guests watched the Soviet feature-length black-and-white film of 1971 “Officers” and jointly sang the military-patriotic song “From the Heroes of Bygone Times”, written on the verses of Yevgeny Agranovich and composer Rafail Khozak.
