Specialists continuously monitor the condition of roads and sidewalks.

More than seven centimeters of snow fell overnight in the capital. Forecasters warn that the same amount may fall in a day. This is about a third of the monthly rainfall. City services use more than 10 thousand pieces of equipment to remove snow.

At night and in the morning, specialists swept the snow from the roads three times, and then treated the streets with deicing compounds. The cycle of works is also planned to be repeated at 15:00.

As reported in the complex of the urban economy of the capital, city services clean not only roads, but also yards, parking lots, sweeping snow from roofs and protruding elements of facades. The state of pedestrian zones, sidewalks, approaches to public transport stops, metro stations and the Moscow Central Circle, and social facilities are kept under special control. The condition of the road network is continuously monitored.

Snow from Moscow streets is sent to snow-melting points – all 56 stationary points are involved.

Motorists are asked to be careful on the roads, as snow removal and loading equipment operate on the streets of the city.
