The crew of the Mi-8MTV5-1 military transport helicopter from the aviation search and rescue group of the Central Military District (CVO) delivered the cosmonauts from the Soyuz MS-20 landing point to Zhezkazgan.

The flight from the main landing area of ​​the descent vehicle to the Zhezkazgan airfield took place in difficult weather conditions. On board the helicopter, the Soyuz MS-20 crew was accompanied by medical specialists who monitored the vital parameters of the astronauts: pulse, blood pressure and oxygen saturation in the blood.

In addition, military specialists, using the FEM-2 evacuation vehicle equipped with a cargo platform, will deliver the spacecraft’s descent vehicle to Zhezkazgan.

The landing and evacuation of the Soyuz MS-20 crew, in spite of the difficult weather conditions, proceeded normally.

After the evacuation, the cosmonauts were placed in specially equipped heated saloons of the FEM-1 “Blue Bird” search and evacuation vehicles, where they were under medical supervision.

About 200 rescue specialists were involved in organizing search and rescue support for the landing of the Soyuz MS-20 descent vehicle, an aviation group: 12 Mi-8 helicopters, two An-12 aircraft and one An-26 aircraft; more than 20 units of ground vehicles, including six modernized search and recovery vehicles FEM-1 and FEM-2 “Blue Bird”.

The landing of the descent vehicle of the Soyuz MS-20 manned spacecraft took place today at 06:13 Moscow time. Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin and space flight participants – President of the Start Today corporation Yusaku Maezawa and his personal assistant Yozo Hirano returned to Earth.
