Servicemen of the urgent and contract service of the Air Force and Air Defense Association of the Northern Fleet visited the Naval Aviation Museum in the village of Safonovo, Murmansk Region.

During the meeting, the director of the museum, Sergei Checherov, drew the guests’ attention to the patriotism and heroism shown by the aviators of the Northern Fleet during the Great Patriotic War, the Afghan War, the Syrian armed conflict and other hostilities.

Young men and women listened with interest to the story about the history of the creation and development of modern aviation.

The exhibits displayed in the halls of the museum, such as personal belongings and uniforms of heroes, special equipment for pilots, various photographs and models, as well as samples of aircraft from the early days of aviation to modern technology, aroused genuine interest of the military personnel.

The excursion is organized with the aim of patriotic education of young people and increasing the authority of service in the Russian army.

In total, the museum was visited by 50 military personnel, 35 of which were conscripts.
