The personnel of the Baltic Fleet marine brigade began practical exercises in amphibious assault training at the Khmelevka training ground in the Kaliningrad region. The training, which takes place at the amphibious assault range of the compound, is attended by servicemen of the Marine Corps battalions on standard equipment – the BTR-82A.

In the course of amphibious assault training, servicemen study and practice tactical actions of crews of armored personnel carriers as part of subunits, taking into account the specifics of the sea coast of the Baltic Sea. The marines of the Baltic Fleet, together with the crews of large landing ships, practice loading and unloading equipment, both from the shore and afloat, and carry out the amphibious landing by the method of afloat.

In general, amphibious training includes the development of methods for overcoming water spaces on floating equipment on its own, methods of loading and unloading personnel and equipment on landing ships and boats, as well as studying the device of landing and landing vehicles.
