The “Rose” shield passed over 2.1 kilometers under the roadbed of the Borovskoye highway and the forest belt of the Rasskazovka park.
The Rosa tunnel boring shield passed the first running tunnel on the southern section of the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya metro line under construction, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development and Construction Andrey Bochkarev.
“Passed the left running tunnel between the Pykhtino station under construction and the existing Rasskazovka station of the Solntsevsky radius, which became the first on the site under construction at Vnukovo airport. The work was carried out by the Roza tunnel-boring mechanized complex (TPMK), which covered more than two kilometers of track, ”said Andrei Bochkarev.
He also recalled that the construction of the adjacent (right) running tunnel on the site is being carried out by the Natalia TPMK, the shield has already passed more than three quarters of the planned route.
Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, a contractor for the construction of new lines and stations of the Moscow metro, emphasized that the tunneling of the left running tunnel was carried out along Borovskoye Highway in clay and loam soils. “TPMK“ Roza ”passed over 2.1 kilometers under the roadbed of Borovskoye highway and the forest belt of the Rasskazovka park,” he explained.
Next year, it is planned to complete two more tunnels to “Pykhtin” and connect them with a metro bridge with the station “Vnukovo”.
Thanks to the extension of the line, Vnukovo will become the first airport in the Moscow region with its own metro station. Also, the new section of the Solntsevskaya line will improve the transport infrastructure in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas and reduce the traffic load.
The decision to extend the Solntsevskaya line from Rasskazovka to Vnukovo airport was made in 2017. Construction of a new metro section 4.9 kilometers long with the Pykhtino and Vnukovo stations began in October 2019. Completion of work at both stations is planned in 2023.
