This season, more than 380 ski runs and 22 ski resorts have been prepared in Moscow.

This winter season, more than 380 ski slopes with a total length of 616 kilometers and 22 ski centers have been prepared in the capital. More than half of them are equipped with street lighting so that you can ride in the evenings. About this in his blog written by Sergei Sobyanin

Ski slopes

The longest track in the city is located in the Bitsevsky forest. Its length is over 20 kilometers. The wide ski track allows you to go both classical and skating. Bitsevsky forest, according to Sergei Sobyanin, is considered the informal capital of Moscow skiing. Muscovites often travel along the route in the company of pets.

For skiers with good training in the capital, a route with elevation differences has been laid in the Sokolniki Park. It stretches along the cascade of the 5th Putyaevsky pond and the 5th Luchevoy Prosek.

In addition, this year a new ski track in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas was built in the capital. It is located in the Khovanskaya Dubrava park in the Sosenskoye settlement. New routes have also appeared in the renewed Yauza park. Now you can go skiing in Tenisty and Yurlovsky passages.

In case of snowless weather, more than a dozen trails were equipped with snow cannons, which made it possible to start the ski season this year even before the start of heavy snowfalls.

The longest five-kilometer ski trail with artificial snow was opened in the Brateevskaya floodplain at the end of November.

Ski slopes

There are seven public ski slopes with sports equipment rental offices in the capital. In the south-west, you can go in for winter sports on the Uzkoe slope. It is located on Sevastopolsky Avenue in the Yasenevo area.

The ski trail is also open on Starokachalovskaya Street in North Butovo. It is focused on training young athletes, but it is also ready to accept adult sports fans.

For residents of the north-west of the capital, the Kurkino slope is open. Residents of not only the region of the same name come there, but also those from neighboring ones. For the convenience of skiers there is a cable car.

In the west of Moscow, a large winter sports center is the Novo-Peredelkino sports complex, which will open in the near future

“By the current season, the existing sports facilities have been modernized, and a café for visitors has been equipped. Here you can go not only downhill skiing, but also snowboarding, tubing, freestyle, ”said Sergei Sobyanin.

In addition, a sports equipment rental point and lifts will open in the sports complex, and winter sports sections will open.
