At the Sosnovy Bor training ground with the personnel of the paratrooper company of the Ulan-Ude Guards Airborne Assault Formation, combat firing was carried out as part of the platoons.

The objectives of the training were to improve the combat coordination of subunits for active, skillful and decisive actions when subunits perform combat missions in various types of combined arms combat. Improvement of forms and methods of action in conditions as close as possible to combat.

In the course of tactical exercises, the personnel worked on the issues of repelling strikes of air attack weapons, defeating the enemy during the advance, deployment and transition to the attack, defeating the enemy’s reserves, routing the wedged enemy and restoring defense along the forward edge, destroying airmobile and sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the enemy.

At the firing lines, the paratroopers fired their standard BMD-2 armament, small arms and grenade launchers on the move at emerging targets, at a distance of up to 1,500 meters.

In total, about 150 servicemen and about 30 units of combat and special equipment of the airborne assault battalion of a separate guards unit of the Airborne Forces were involved in fire training classes.
