A cooperation agreement was signed on December 21 by the Acting Head of EMERCOM of Russia Alexander Chupriyan and Chairman of the All-Russian Public Organization of Veterans of Civil Defense, Emergency Situations and Fire Fighting Bodies Shamsutdin Dagirov as part of a meeting of the Presidium of the Central Council of Veterans.

This agreement is based on the necessity and importance of cooperation between the parties on the strengthening and development of the veteran movement.

Its goal is to organize interaction between the EMERCOM of Russia and the Veteran Organization in the implementation of work in relation to veterans and the organization of work on the patriotic and moral education of the personnel of the EMERCOM of Russia, as well as to perpetuate the memory of the employees who made a significant contribution to the development of the EMERCOM of Russia, who gave their lives to serve the Fatherland.

The parties discussed the development of effective and mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of propaganda, popularization and dissemination of experience and knowledge on the protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergencies, ensuring fire safety and safety of people at water bodies among the population.

In addition, the meeting discussed issues of formation of a culture of life safety of young people, as well as civil-patriotic, spiritual and moral education of citizens of the Russian Federation.

“Each of our veterans represents a whole generation and is inscribed in golden letters in the history of the Russian Emergencies Ministry,” A. Chupriyan noted.

According to A. Chupriyan, the experience and potential of EMERCOM veterans is invaluable both in planning and organizing service activities and in educating the young generation of EMERCOM employees. He recommended that veterans be involved in the work of mentoring councils to assist employees who entered the service of the EMERCOM of Russia, graduates of educational institutions who were first appointed to the position.

Also at the meeting, the results of the activities of the Veteran Organization for 2021 were summed up and the Plan of the main activities of the organization for 2022 was approved.

A. Chupriyan and Sh. Dagirov assessed bilateral cooperation as promising and long-term, meeting the interests of both parties. The veteran organization of the EMERCOM of Russia thanked the ministry for the assistance and support provided.
