All design solutions are united by one theme – “Fir-trees of big cities. New Year’s traditions “. The authors were inspired by the main symbols and New Year colors of the world’s megacities.

“The gallery of designer Christmas trees on Kuznetsky Most near the Central Department Store has already become a good tradition of the Journey to Christmas festival. Decorated by designers, renowned musicians, artists and media personalities, New Year’s trees have been exhibited here for the sixth time. The main theme of the project this year is “Fir-trees of big cities. New Year’s traditions ”, therefore, walking along this festival site, you can visit Paris and Madrid, New York and Lisbon, Seoul and Copenhagen. And, of course, to see the Christmas tree, the decoration of which was inspired by Moscow, “said the First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Mayor and the Government of Moscow, the head of the Moscow

Department of Trade and Services Alexey Nemeryuk

15 unique New Year beauties are presented on Kuznetsky Most.

Japan. Hollywood. Vein

A thousand-year history and centuries-old traditions that have survived to this day, Japanese tenderness of colors and mysterious interweaving of lines are reflected in the tree, which was designed by the leading soloist of the Bolshoi Theater Eleanor Sevenard and the premier Denis Rodkin.

TV presenter Alla Mikheeva chose Hollywood as the theme of the decor – the world center of nightlife. The decoration was inspired by the Walk of Fame, TCL Chinese Theater, Hollywood Bowl Open Air Concert Hall, and Dolby Theater, where the Academy Awards are presented annually.

The Austrian Vienna also gave inspiration to the creators, where old buildings retain their appearance and unique style. The city is also rightfully considered the musical capital of the world. A Christmas tree is dedicated to Vienna, which was decorated with violist and conductor Yuri Bashmet and pianist and neoclassical composer Viktor Osadchiy.

Seoul. New York. Paris

Modern technologies and the computer industry have become the main theme of the design, which was invented by the singer Yegor Creed. He was inspired by the imagery of Seoul, love of esports and streaming gaming, so the tree was adorned with game consoles.

On Kuznetsky Most, you can also find a fir tree dedicated to New York. It was decorated by designer Artem Krivda. According to him, New York is a city of diversity, the capital of the intertwining of different cultures, and also a symbol of childhood, when watching the movie “Home Alone” was included in the mandatory program of the winter holidays.

Stylist Elena Krygina discovered the secrets of Christmas Paris – a city of great history and immortal love, a place where all travelers aspire.

Copenhagen. Madrid. Beijing

Designer Evgenia Linovich offers to walk through the pages of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales and feel the magical atmosphere of festive Copenhagen. The steadfast tin soldier, the Snow Queen, Thumbelina and other famous fairy-tale heroes are depicted on her fir decorations.

Zhanna Loboda tried to convey in the selected jewelry the spirit of Madrid – the city of noble gentlemen and proud ladies. The designer turned to the work of the outstanding Spanish artist Diego Velazquez, choosing one of his most recognizable works, “Menina”.

There is less and less time left before the start of the Winter Olympics in Beijing, so clothing designer Anastasia Zadorina used the theme of sports. The tree is decorated with original pictograms with winter sports. They resemble hieroglyphs, dragons and paper lanterns – the inherent symbols of China.

Moscow. London. Tuscany

For many, Moscow has become a city of endless movement, so designer Yana Raskovalova decided to convey the urban rhythm in the decor of the New Year’s beauty. The accent in the design is made on the technological New Year’s decoration. Thus, four neon rings literally reflect the map of the capital (MKAD, TTK, Garden and Boulevard Ring), as well as the heart of the city, the Kremlin and its main symbol, the ruby star of the Spasskaya Tower.

Stylist Alice Boha decided to talk about her trip to London and her acquaintance with the magical world of Harry Potter. Her tree is decorated with unusual balls, a garland of fake candles, a burgundy and gold Gryffindor scarf and letters from Hogwarts. At the top of a tree, the postal owl Hedwig is watching what is happening around.

Designers Alisa and Julia Ruban invite you to dream of a family vacation in Italian Tuscany and feel the gentle climate of the resort of Forte dei Marmi. The designer spruce decorations include an artichoke-shaped top, garlands in the form of a pasta farfalle with lighting, as well as hanging toys in the form of bicycles, espresso cups and beach booths.

Lisbon. Berlin. Dubai

The spruce tree, which was decorated by designer Katya Dobryakova, invites you to go to festive Lisbon, remember the trams that have been running through the city’s streets for over a hundred years, bright umbrellas and the Pena Palace – one of the most romantic castles in the world.

Sergei Efremov opens Christmas Berlin with its decorated streets and special New Year’s Eve atmosphere, as well as characters from Hoffmann’s fairy tales, including the Nutcracker and the Mouse King. The decor of spruce combines restrained classics and the glitter of bright candles, gold and jewelry.

Designer Elina Bochkareva was inspired by Dubai, so she combined oriental motives and high-tech achievements. Her idea is based on skyscrapers, endless desert, palm trees along high-speed roads, artificial islands, beaches and eternal sun.

Guests of the gallery can take original photographs as a souvenir. In addition, next to each spruce there is a plate with a QR code, by scanning which you can find out about the author of the composition and what inspired him.

All festival events are organized in compliance with sanitary and epidemiological standards. Visitors are asked to wear masks and maintain social distancing. The festival program can be viewed at its official website
