Here, in addition to specialized infectious diseases departments, there are functional and radiation diagnostics departments, an express laboratory, ultrasound diagnostics doctors, and an otorhinolaryngologist.
Doctors of the new children’s infectious disease building of the medical complex in Kommunarka have cured more than four thousand little patients in six months of work. This was announced by the chief physician of the medical complex in Kommunarka Denis Protsenko.
“The beginning of the work of the children’s infectious disease building for 100 beds in our medical complex has made more accessible specialized children’s infectious care in the Troitsk and Novomoskovsk administrative districts. For six months of the work of the building, more than four thousand children aged from one month to 18 years have received medical care here. Moreover, the specialists cured not only patients with common intestinal and airborne infections, but also with more dangerous and rare diseases, ”Denis Protsenko emphasized.
The complex was erected as part of the second stage of construction of a multidisciplinary clinical hospital; it became the first children’s infectious diseases hospital in the TyNAO. Parents can stay with little patients in the hospital: there is the possibility of installing a second bed for them. Each room has all the conditions for this: there is a bathroom, shower, multimedia tablets.
“In the new building, in addition to specialized infectious diseases departments, there are functional and radiation diagnostics departments, an express laboratory, ultrasound diagnostics doctors, an otorhinolaryngologist. We have the most modern equipment. All this allows you to immediately carry out the necessary research for the diagnosis and quickly begin treatment. A unique navigation system has been created, in which the flows of patients with different infectious diseases are separated, and a special layout guarantees a high level of epidemiological safety, “added Olga Solodovnikova, Deputy Chief Physician for Infection, Pediatrician and Infectious Disease Specialist.
A modern diagnostic service with an express laboratory has been deployed in the building, in which more than 12 thousand different studies have already been carried out. Due to the high quality and variety of diagnostic methods, it is no longer necessary to transport infectious patients to other medical facilities.
The admission department for four Melzer boxes ensures the isolation of patients from the moment of admission. In total, there are 40 such isolated rooms in the building, each of which is equipped with oxygen consoles and anti-shock pads. This allows, upon admission of a patient in serious condition, to deploy the anti-shock ward in the box and provide emergency assistance on the spot.
The building employs 120 people, including 30 doctors and 90 employees from among the middle and junior medical personnel.
In addition to the opening of a children’s infectious disease building in Kommunarka, the buildings of an ambulance substation were completed here and a helipad with a dispatch center was equipped to receive emergency patients from the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas and other districts.
