The federal center will finance regional projects aimed at purchasing specialized vehicles for storing and delivering medical oxygen to hospitals. The decree on this was signed by the Chairman of the Government Mikhail Mishustin.

With the help of federal support, it is planned to purchase 86 units of equipment for 750 million rubles. This will allow the supply of medical oxygen in hospitals to be maintained at the appropriate level to provide care for patients with coronavirus infection.

The signed decree amended the rules for granting subsidies to the Russian Fund for Technological Development for further financing projects in priority areas. In particular, projects for the purchase of means of transportation and storage of oxygen in order to counteract epidemic diseases have been added to the list of funded areas.

The issue was discussed at meeting of the Coordinating Council for Combating the Spread of Coronavirus Infection 21 December.
