On the Kamchatka Peninsula, the crews of the MiG-31 high-altitude fighter-interceptors of the separate mixed aviation regiment of the Pacific Fleet completed their piloting missions in adverse weather conditions.

In the daytime and at night, the MiG-31 crews performed takeoff and landing in low cloud cover, instrument piloting in poor visibility conditions, as well as interaction within groups.

In addition, the pilots practiced landing at a shortened distance on a conditionally damaged airfield runway.

Flying in difficult weather conditions is an important element in the training of crews of the MiG-31 all-weather interceptor fighters in a harsh climate. Special attention was paid to piloting training by young pilots.
