In total, more than three thousand elevators have been replaced in Moscow this year.

In 2021, 233 elevators were replaced in residential buildings in the Northwestern District of Moscow. The work was carried out within regional overhaul program

Most of the elevators – 14 each – were replaced in the Mitino area at 18 on General Beloborodov Street and at 7, building 1 in Volotsky Lane. These 17-storey buildings of the PZ 1996 standard series have seven entrances each.

The oldest building in which the elevators have been replaced is a five-story building with four entrances on Meshcheryakova Street (house 7) in the Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo area. The brick building was built in 1937 in the post-constructivism style according to an individual project.

The tallest buildings in the North-West Administrative District, in which new elevators have appeared, are two 22-storey buildings – building 12, building 1 on Baryshikha street and building 41, building 2 on Dubravnaya street in Mitino. The buildings with two entrances were built in 1995 and belong to the KOPE type series.

As previously noted by the Deputy Mayor for Housing and Communal Services and ImprovementPeter Biryukov, in total in the capital this year they replaced more than three thousand elevators… The leaders in terms of the number of upgraded elevators were the Yugo-Vostochny (654 elevators), South-Western (499 elevators) and Vostochny (371 elevators) administrative districts.

In houses where residents accumulate funds for overhaul on the account of a regional operator, elevators are changed strictly in the year of the end of the 25-year service life without further extending the operating period. Experts dismantle old equipment and install new lifts. If there are several elevators at the entrance, they are changed one at a time so that the residents do not experience any inconvenience.
