New types of pre-professional classes are opening up for high school students, and parents of preschoolers have the opportunity to place their child in kindergarten earlier.
Sergei Sobyaninthanked the teachers of Moscow for the successful preparation of schoolchildren for exams last academic year.
“I want to say a huge thank you to our wonderful teachers. In the last academic year, many Moscow students passed the Unified State Exam and, for the most part, successfully entered universities, “said Sergei Sobyanin, speaking with an annual report to the deputies.
Speaking about the education system, the Moscow Mayor noted new opportunities for parents of preschoolers: this year, in most districts, enrollment in kindergartens has been opened starting from two years and two months. For this, 15 thousand additional places were created.
High school students also have new opportunities. “We have opened up new types of pre-professional classes – entrepreneurial and media classes. As part of the engineering specialization, high school students were given the opportunity to choose new directions – atomic and Kurchatov classes. There are more popular IT classes. 75 schools have already joined the project, ”said Sergei Sobyanin.
According to him, half of all high school students in Moscow study in pre-professional classes. And in the near future – to provide such an opportunity for the majority of high school students.
Over the past year has changed and “Moscow Electronic School”… After integration with the leading educational platforms of the country, 45 thousand educational materials appeared in its library. Students can now use the new virtual labs and build personal portfolios.

Another change in the field of education is an increase in the per capita rate of funding for schools, which is included in the budget for 2022, the Mayor of Moscow added.
