It is planned to complete the construction of the highway by the end of 2023.

The project for the planning of the section of the South-Eastern Expressway along Kaspiyskaya Street from Kantemirovskaya Street to the Paveletsky direction of the Moscow Railway (MZD) has been approved. The corresponding decree was signed Sergei Sobyanin.

The straight section of the South-East Expressway will be about four kilometers long. In total, within the framework of the project, it is planned to build and reconstruct about 10 kilometers of roads, including:

– reconstruction of Kaspiyskaya Street (3.9 kilometers, two to four lanes in each direction);

– construction of the main passage of the South-East Expressway (1.8 kilometers, three or four lanes in each direction), including a tunnel at the intersection with the tracks of the Paveletsky direction of the Moscow Railway;

– construction of transport interchanges at the intersection of the South-Eastern Expressway with Kaspiyskiy Street and Podolskiy Kursantov Street;

– construction of a transport interchange at the intersection of Caspian and Baku streets;

– construction of a side driveway along Caspian Street in the vicinity of the Tsaritsyno metro station;

– reconstruction of Medikov Street and Yerevan Street, including the construction of a terminal building with a stop for ground transport.

In addition, within the framework of the project, additional traffic lights will be installed, access pockets and stops for public transport will be organized.

The construction of the Southeast Expressway is the largest transport project in the capital, which will be implemented in the coming years. The length of its main course will be about 28 kilometers. Taking into account the construction of ramps and the reconstruction of adjacent streets, about 100 kilometers of new roads will appear, 55 artificial structures with a length of 22 kilometers and 12 pedestrian crossings will be created.

The opening of the Southeast Expressway will complete the formation of the capital’s expressway system. These will be new roads in the middle of the city, which will be an alternative to the Moscow orbital, the Third Ring Road and the passage through the historic center.

The South-East Expressway will run from Entuziastov Highway to Varshavskoye Highway, connecting major highways of the city – North-East Expressway, Ryazansky Prospect, Third Transport Ring, Volgogradsky Prospekt, Shosseynaya Street, Kashirskoye Highway, Kaspiyskaya Street, South Rockada, Podolskikh Kursantov Street and Lipetskaya , as well as the Moscow Ring Road with access to the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas through the Solntsevo – Butovo – Varshavskoe highway.

The South-East Expressway will improve transport services for residents of 22 districts. These are Nizhegorodsky, Lefortovo, Perovo, Ryazansky, Sokolinaya Gora, Pechatniki, Yuzhnoportovy, Tekstilshchiki, Nagatinsky Zaton, Kuryanovo, Maryino, Lyublino, Moskvorechye-Saburovo, Tsaritsyno, Orekhovo-Borisovo Severnoye, Yuzhnoye Zapadnoye, Butnoye and Yuzhnoye and Chertanovo , Danilovsky, Nagatino-Sadovniki. They are home to about 2.5 million people.

It is planned to complete the construction of the highway by the end of 2023.
