The development of technology makes life in the city more comfortable and safer.

The modern digital environment is one of the most important components of people’s quality of life, said Sergei Sobyaninspeaking with the annual report to the deputies Moscow City Duma… “Artificial intelligence and speech recognition technologies will be further developed in Moscow, thanks to which Muscovites are already using many convenient and practical solutions such as voice assistants and chat bots to solve everyday problems,” said Sergei Sobyanin.

Technologies will significantly change the sphere of public services, the Mayor of Moscow believes. In his opinion, citizens must be completely relieved of the paperwork, which today can be dispensed with. One of the recent steps in this direction – cancellation of medical certificates for preschoolers and schoolchildren. All the necessary information that is in the Unified Medical Information and Analytical System is displayed in an electronic diary.

“Moreover, services must become proactive. For example, without waiting for a request, the portal will suggest updating documents, issuing manuals or solving any other important issue. And the citizen will only have to agree or refuse the offered service, ”said the Moscow Mayor. He added that this would help save Muscovites millions of hours of personal time.

Moscow is the first city in Russia, which began to provide online government services. Even 10 years ago, everyone had to personally visit government agencies to solve their problems and draw up documents. It was necessary to find time, collect the necessary papers and wait for the queue at the reception. Today, almost any everyday issue can be resolved at home, on the way to work or sitting in a cafe. The portal has become a one-stop shop for city services and services, it operates around the clock, seven days a week, holidays and lunch breaks. On the portal already available over 380 online tools and over 14.4 million people use them.

Digital services also make a great contribution to improving the safety of Muscovites, Sergei Sobyanin noted. According to him, thanks to the video surveillance system, the city has achieved a radical reduction in crime and a reduction in the number of injuries on the roads.

“The number of murders has decreased 2.5 times, burglaries – 13 times, car thefts – nine times, people who died in road accidents – two times. The task for the future is to improve these technologies, so that every year all districts of Moscow become calmer and safer, ”said the Mayor of Moscow.

With the help of the face recognition system operating in the capital, it was possible to detain about seven thousand citizens who were on the criminal investigation. Without a video surveillance system, the investigation of crimes committed in public places becomes much more difficult. By itself, it is an effective preventive measure so that fewer of them happen, Sergei Sobyanin emphasized.
