Servicemen of the Operational Group of Russian Forces in the Transnistrian Region of the Republic of Moldova (OGRV PRRM) held a lecture for the youth soldiers dedicated to the Day of Military Glory.

The lecture, which was dedicated to the Day of the capture of the Turkish fortress of Izmail by Russian troops under the command of Alexander Suvorov, was held in the garrison officers’ club.

During the lecture, the servicemen told the Yunarmey about the military life of the Generalissimo, about his campaigns and major victories. One of the most important battles was the storming of the fortress of Izmail. The conquest of Ishmael was of great political importance. It influenced the further course of the war and the conclusion of the Jassy Peace between Russia and Turkey, which confirmed the annexation of Crimea to Russia and established the Russian-Turkish border along the Dniester River.

The command of the OGRV PRRM regularly organizes cultural and leisure activities for the Yunarmeys with the aim of military-patriotic education.
