About 300 servicemen of the Russian military base in Tajikistan destroyed the mock enemy using RPG-7 and AGS-17 grenade launchers.

During training events, the grenade launchers improved their skills in fire, tactical and special training. Combat training missions were carried out using 40-mm RPG-7 hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers and AGS-17 30-mm automatic easel grenade launchers. The servicemen struck emerging and moving targets that imitated armored vehicles, vehicles and manpower of a conditional enemy. Particular attention during the exercise was paid to the issues of reconnaissance both by the grenade launchers themselves and by their assistants. The servicemen received the practice of conducting reconnaissance in mountainous areas, identifying the primary targets and the most important objects of the imaginary enemy.

The 201st military base stationed in Tajikistan is Russia’s largest military facility outside its borders. Located in two cities – Dushanbe and Bokhtar. It includes motorized rifle, tank, artillery, reconnaissance units, air defense units, RCB protection and communications.
