The award ceremony was held online.

The results of the Moscow Children’s Championship KidSkills were summed up in the capital. This year it became a record one in terms of the number of participants and competencies. The awards were received by 352 teams from 207 educational organizations of the capital. The closing ceremony took place online, with 112 gold, 119 silver and 121 bronze medals announced.

“This year, more than 14 thousand people from 544 educational organizations of the capital competed in 26 competencies. These indicators confirm that the project is becoming more and more popular every year not only among young Muscovites, but also among adults. For the first time, we also invited parents to the championship to participate in the new FamilySkills category. This format brings families closer together, teaches them to support each other in a variety of situations, “- said the deputy head of the capital

Department of Education and Science Alexander Tverskoy.

Participants of the Moscow Children’s Championship KidSkills competed in three stages in two age categories: from five to seven years old and from eight to 10 years old, as well as in the family category FamilySkills, in which their parents participated in five competencies together with children aged 10-14 years. The teams needed to show the so-called soft skills – flexible skills that will be important in adult life regardless of the chosen profession: the ability to work in a team, business communication and stress resistance.

“The competence“ Mobile Robotics ”requires real skill: the guys assemble and program a robot. The competition area was an imitation of the workshop of the KamAZ plant, where robots deliver spare parts. Everything is automated – the robot picks up the part in one place and brings it to another. Kids five to seven years old showed excellent results. They even coped with the “black box”, where it was necessary to work from scratch with an empty robot without software solutions and with an empty environment. Younger schoolchildren worked even more confidently – and everyone, without exception, was interested and incredibly inspired, ”said Maria Armanova, chief expert of the“ Mobile Robotics ”competence.

At the closing ceremony of the championship, the results of the team medal standings were also summed up. Most of the winners and prize-winners were prepared by the Moscow State Educational Complex, which becomes the leader of the team medal standings for the second year in a row. The second place is taken by preschoolers and students of the school at the College of Small Business No. 4, the educational institution “School in Nekrasovka” closes the top three.
