Order of December 24, 2021 No. 3821-r

On behalf of the President, the Government begins work on the modernization of post offices located in villages and hard-to-reach areas. Until the end of 2021, 5 billion rubles will be allocated from the reserve fund for these purposes. This order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

These funds will make it possible to bring almost 1.2 thousand post offices into a standard state, including equipping them with new furniture and equipment. If necessary, pre-fabricated buildings can also be built.

“It is important that post offices become truly modern and convenient for citizens, regardless of where they are located,” Mikhail Mishustin said at a government meeting on December 24, instructing the Ministry of Digital Development to keep this issue under constant control.

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the modernization of postal facilities located in rural and remote areas over the next three years following the results of the second stage of the XX Congress of the United Russia party in August 2021. A total of 25 160 such objects will be renovated. Depreciation of more than half of them exceeds 50%.
